The CS remembers a one-liner from a comedian a few years ago that went something like this: " 90% of all guys masturbate. The other 10%? Well...no arms!"

For whatever reason, this made me think of a similar statistic with roughly 10 of my closest male married friends. Ninety percent of them either cheat or have in the past. The one who doesn't, is "built" in a different way. Things like that are not important nor a priority in his life. He is quite happy and content being a one woman man. Very respectable.

Of course, 100% of the 90% that cheat, think that their wives haven't cheated nor that they ever will. Interestingly, two of those wives have attempted to do so, and with whom you ask? Thats right...with two of the other male spouses in the group. Nothing ever progressed far enough there, but it could have, easily. Which brings me to Rule:

9. Dont Pilfer Thy Friends Nookie

The excuses for hooking up with your friends SFO's are endless. Usually, it results out of sheer convenience. The CS's view on this is simple...

The SFO expects you to stay away from any other partners for the rest of your life. No more sexual contact with anyone....complete and strict monogamy. Something that is not workable or manageable, at least according to me. In contrast, your good friend has generally one request: "I dont care what you do, with whom, or how often, just dont do it with my SFO." Quite a modest and manageable request.

It seems quite easy to stay away from one particular man or woman. A certain code is therefore easy to follow with friends...they really dont ask for much in that respect. Moreover, cheating is risky as is, why jeopardize and potentially ruin a friendship to boot? It doesnt make much sense and increases your chance of getting caught when the shit hits the fan.

10. Discretion

When straying, rarely is one caught by the SFO while engaging in the act itself. Usually, it is something much more innocuous like a paper trail or some other oversight. Similarly, and at least from the male perspective, men tend blab about their activities so that everyone knows how many conquests they have had. Something that seems rather silly and likely to cause problems.

The CS point of view is that your sexual activities should remain as private as possible. There is no reason all of your friends be privy to it. Sure, on occasions, and for various reasons you might need someone to talk to or discuss details. I have one such friend, but even then I dont tell him about most things that are done outside of his presence.

The point is that there is nothing to brag about, or that should be readily divulged. What purpose does that really serve except satisfying ego? Not only does it seem awkward to discuss such details with someone you know, but also leaves a trail that will eventually catch up with you.
